No doubt that when you have been to Mackinac Island you have been amazed by the beauty all around. One thing that always amazes me is the many rock formations throughout this small island. Today I discuss the formations along with some of the Native American tales form these formations.

There are up to 10 different formations to enjoy. Here they are:

  • Arch Rock
  • Robinson’s Folly
  • Skull Cave
  • Sugar Loaf
  • Devil’s Kitchen
  • Sunset Rock
  • Crack in the Island
  • Cave in the Woods
  • Eagle Point Cave
  • Friendships Altar

The Native American tales are talked about today I referenced the following article to tell the tale of Devil’s Kitchen https://michpics.wordpress.com/2012/10/20/mackinac-islands-devils-kitchen-and-the-red-geebis/

I use as always the tourism page to gain all this information under the blog section. Go to http://www.mackinacisland.org and under the top left corner use blog. There you will find infinite about of information to help make you trip and knowledge of the island exceptional.
