So I was so lucky to be able to go see this charming B&B last summer – but just as a blogger. This time I was a guest. My first time at a Bed & Breakfast. I loved it.
Suzy – the innkeeper- greets you with the history of Cloghaun. She then will show you vacant rooms so you can see how each room is decorated and the history.
Breakfast is offered at various times. You sign up the night before. You have 3 time options. You aren’t aware of what is served- but believe me it’s incredible. The coffee was excellent along with juice options. You leave full and ready to take on the island.
The porch was my favorite escape. I’m a sucker for a good porch. Sitting there and taking in all the sounds of the island. Recovering from walking or riding- no better place than in the porch or the many chairs located on the beautiful lawn.
Snacks along with water are available all day. You can even make French press coffee if you are up for it. Also feel free to bring wine 🍷 they have glasses for you to use and it’s great to sit inside and play a game that they have on premises.
I can’t say enough about how I loved staying here. Cloghaun definitely has a special place in my Mackinac love. Be sure to look into staying at one of the 11 rooms they have to offer. http://www.cloghaun.com
